HR firm scoops quality, leadership global award

ABS Consulting Group, an independent local human resource and business consulting company, has scooped the International Star for Leadership in Quality award (Gold category).
The annual awards organised by the global Business Initiative Directions (BID) seek to celebrate organisations which are committed to continuous improvement in terms of bettering practices and working towards creating a successful and sustainable quality culture and innovation. This year’s BID International Star for Leadership in Quality Convention was hosted in Paris and attended by professionals and business leaders from over 100 firms world over.
Mr Amos Bagumire, the ABS Consulting Group managing director, described the award as an ideal reward to Uganda and a stepping stone for the company to continue putting quality at the forefront.
“Our expertise gained through the years has enabled us to provide the best in management consulting. We work hard to build long-lasting business relationships on consistent high performance,” he told Jobs and Career this week.
“Our works complement our clients’ own expertise as we provide services that help them acquire and retain confidence of their clientele.”
The firm aises clients in the areas of human resources (recruitment, talent management, restructuring, executive development, counseling managers to be good leaders), boards corporate governance training, risk aisory, forensic services, financial services, supply chain management systems and special audits.
Mr Moses Ssebugwawo, the operations director noted that the award serves as a key milestone in widening Uganda’s presence in the eyes of global potential investors, given that this is the first local company to win the same award in 28 years since the initiative started.
Organisations are nominated by previous award winners who comprise the BID network or by other professionals in quality, innovation, business, education and media.
After being nominated, winners are chosen by BID panel of quality evaluators who take into account a variety of factors, including but not limited to: dedication to clientscustomers, values in line with the BQM model, proven track record of achievements andor innovations, and a strong online presence and reputation
