All is set for the annual children ‘Green’ Christmas Party due this Sunday, December 21 at Kololo ceremonial grounds.
According to Joseph Masembe, chief executive officer of the event- organising Little Hands Go Green, this year’s party will be a “bigger and better experience” with a life-sized recreation of the manger in Bethlehem, where Jesus was born.
“It is going to be a memorable Green experience,” Masembe says, adding that they have also included fireworks on the day’s menu to further spice up the fun activities.
Entrance fee is Shs 10,000 per child, while parents will not be charged. The Green party was earlier set for December 14, but postponed after the venue (Kololo ceremonial grounds) hosted the registration centre for last week’s NRM delegates’ conference.
Masembe says tree seedlings will as usual be there to re-emphasize “our commitment to greening up our beloved Pearl of Africa.”
Last year, President Museveni graced the Green party at the same venue.
