What do Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook founder, and Apple founder Steve Jobs (RIP) have in common?
The two started revolutions in technology, but are also known for donning the same look. Zuckerberg’s attire usually consists of Adidas flip-flops, a grey T-shirt and his signature hoodie.
Before he passed on, Jobs was known for his jeans and a black turtleneck shirt. Also US President Barack Obama (grey or blue suit) is part of the ‘same outfit club’, but for different reasons. My efforts to find a popular woman to fit in that club have proved futile.
But away from the Internet, there are people you may know who wear the same dull colour, similar hairstyle and the same old flat shoes. It is important to know what works for you, but confining yourself to the same look day-in, day-out can be boring.
An animal is defined by the colour of its fur so, you don’t want to be known as the “lady who wears black and white.” Do not be afraid to experiment.
Start by taking a look through your wardrobe – taking note of your fabrics, styles and designs, plus shoes. If they don’t scream ‘versatility’, then you need to turn things up with these easy steps. We only see the items we are used to wearing, but someone else will have a totally different perspective on what would look good on us. Try a few things on that you may not normally wear.
You could be surprised by how much you like them. Go style up!
