Give Kampalans reason to party and they will pour out in big numbers.
It is what Club Guvnor did last Thursday. To kick-start the long Easter weekend, the nightclub presented what it called “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”.
We all know this famous tagline about the “Sin City” Las Vegas. It is about “Freedom to do things, see things, eat things, wear things, feel things.” In short, “the freedom to be someone we couldn’t be at home.”
For partygoers who were looking for where to start the weekend in style, Guvnor was the place to be.
Doors opened as early as 9pm. It was a red-carpet affair, with beefy mean-looking and shining men welcoming you at the entrance. Inside, the attention was on this stunning ushers in gold shinning dresses, carrying a briefcase. They were guarded by beefy men carrying spackling lights.
The girls were aertising the Gold Reserve whisky made by Uganda Breweries, who were the sponsors of the night. There were also special cocktails going for Shs 22,000 and the delivery to your table was done in a special way by the ushers.
At 3pm, there was performance from Bebe Cool, who sang only his latest songs, many of which seemed new to guests but of course Love You Every Day had everyone singing along.
