Desire finally records statement with police over her nude photos

KAMPALA

Desire Luzinda, a prominent female artiste, has finally talked to the police detectives over her nude photographs that went viral on social media.
Luzinda reported to police headquarters today at midday and went straight to the police spokesman’s office where she talked to detectives for more than two hours.
A police source said Luzinda recorded a statement in which she accused her ex-boyfriend of leaking them on social media.
“Her statement will be examined and then other people will be called to record their statements,” a source said.
Deputy police spokesperson, Ms Polly Namaye, who had witnessed Luzinda’s statement writing, couldn’t be reached for a comment.
Police have been looking for Luzinda to record a statement to an extent that they visited her in the recording studio but she couldn’t record her statement on allegations that she was tired.
Earlier, police said people who publish nude photographs of their lovers can be charge with trafficking in pornography or offensive communication under the Computer Misuse Act.
