Cooperate to fight terrorism – bishops

Masaka. Calls to end acts of terrorism and the current wave of murders dominated Easter sermons in Masaka district as bishops called for a joint action to end them.
Masaka Diocese Bishop, John Baptist Kaggwa and Bishop Godfrey Makumbi of West Buganda Diocese asked the laity to cooperate fully with the security organs to end acts of terrorism. In his sermon at Kitovu Cathedral, Bishop Kaggwa said the perpetrators of these murders could be well known to the Christians who may even be aware of their hiding places and he called upon them to assist the police to arrest them.
“We need to know who these criminals who shade innocent blood.
“We should stand firm and condemn these acts as well as report the perpetrators to the authorities,” he said.
