Just a month after being recognised as one of the region’s super brands, Crown Beverages Limited has another product on the market.
CBL recently launched Evervess Bitter Lemon, adding it to its portfolio of products, which include: Mirinda, Mountain Dew, 7 UP, Pepsi and Evervess Tonic.
“We are deeply convinced that Evervess Bitter Lemon will enhance our product portfolio and will give our consumers more choice as life is lived to the fullest when there is choice,” Jeff Ssekandi, the customer marketing manager, said at the launch of the new product.
The soda is available in 500ml plastic bottles at a retail price of Shs 1,500. According to Berna Kizza, the brand manager Evervess, “the focus of the Evervess Bitter Lemon flavour does not lie primarily in the ability to be mixed with spirits, but in the outstanding flavour potential as pure refreshment with a g character as a standalone.”
She said CBL’s success over the years had been driven partly by product innovation. Innovation, she explained, helps the company respond to customers’ needs, upholding quality to international standards and engaging with consumers. The last new soda variant that CBL introduced onto the Ugandan market was Mirinda Green Apple in March 2013.
