Uganda Christian University is on Friday set to hold its 15th graduation ceremony which will see a total of 1,239 students from the university’s main and regional campuses graduate with different awards.
Tomorrow’s graduation ceremony at UCU main campus in Mukono will also include students from Kampala, Mbale and Arua regional campuses. According to statistics obtained from the university, there are more female students with a total of 646 students expected to graduate as compared to their male counterparts with 593 students.
Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration has the highest number of students (307) followed by Bachelor of Health Administration with 199students and Bachelor of Public Administration and Management with 197students.
The list obtained indicates that 22 students, out of whom 12 are female, will be awarded with First-Class Honours.
Overall, the two students with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from the UCU main campus are Jonathan Tumwebaze from Bachelor of Development Studies and Julius Izza Tabi from Bachelor of Divinity. They both have a CGPA of 4.76.
Uganda’s premier, John Patrick Amama Mbabazi, is expected to be the chief guest.
