Bebe roots for Cranes support at Unplugged show

You cannot talk about live performance in Uganda today and you don’t mention Bebe Cool’s name. Bebe breathed new life in the staggering monthly Unplugged show at Club Silk last Thursday.

Clad in flowery white and blue pants, with a matching light blue shirt, he stepped on stage a few minutes past 10pm.

He kicked off his performance with his popular Big Size hit and went on to do songs like Fire Anthem, Chemical Reaction, Lonely, Nasalawo, Bamugambe, Nkwagala, Ntuyo zange, Kamwako, Talimba Yesu, Nyonyi Nkeze, Nkola Byafayo, Cocodiosis and Praise God.

Bebe took brief breaks to introduce his band members among whom was Edith K, who was in the news sometime back for allegedly quitting Gagamel for Golden Band. He did Moyo Wangu with her.

He closed the performance with his chart-buster Love You Every day as the crowd sang along. But the singer cut the song midway and decided to perform his other duty as the Uganda Cranes ambassador. He begged the crowd to turn up and support the Uganda Cranes as they take on Togo at Namboole on October 11. “Let’s not lose hope, let’s not wait to criticise our team when they fail, let’s show them love and support them, we shall make it,” he said.
