Aice to couples: Marriage is not just about wealth

Given the stories I have been reading about separated couples fighting for property, I am worried that Western culture is slowly beginning to take shape in African countries! Such cases illustrate the problem Western courts have been grappling with for many years – wealth sharing after a marriage breaks down. I think it is important that our law makers stop this problem now by making laws that would encourage marriages rather than marriage break-ups being given ‘incentives’. Men kill women, and women kill men because of wealth. Men and women have ended marriages that could have been saved because of wealth. Many end up regretting because they had their eyes set on wealth, not the damage caused, especially where children are involved.
