ABU champion Bogere lines up US training trip


If the rate of activities is anything to go by, professional boxing this year, seems to be on the right track. At the end of February, Intersport International Promotions organised a five-bout event with two national title at stake. Another by Nara Promotions is on later this month and Daily Monitor can reliably reveal that Solomon ‘Mbwa Njizzi’ Bogere will be defending his ABU super lightwelter weight late April. According to Abbey Mugayi, Bogere’s promoter, UPBC secured training sponsorship from Championship Boxing Management, USA Bogere, 12-1-2 (10KOs), will soon head to California for a three-week training ahead of his title defence against Egyptian Abdu Magid Sayid, April 20.Victory against Sayid will spur Bogere into the top 10, giving him an opportunity to fight for the more coveted WBC title. “I expect to take off next week as I’m currently processing the paperwork,” he said
