45 youth cross to FDC

KABAROLE. More than 45 youth purportedly from the ruling NRM party have crossed to the Opposition FDC party.
The youth are said to have made the decision during a rally addressed by FDC president Mugisha Muntu in Fort Portal Town on Monday.
The youth are mainly university students from Mountains of the Moon, Uganda Pentecostal University and other institutions of higher learning in Fort Portal.
Most of them hail from Kabarole, Kamwenge, Kyenjojo and other neighbouring districts. The youth pledged to lobby their colleagues to ensure there is change of government in the country.
Maj Gen Muntu, who is currently touring Rwenzori sub-region told the converts the power in Uganda belongs to the youth who compose the majority of the population in the country.
“Ugandans are supporting corrupt leaders who promote their ideologies when they assume their positions in leadership. That is why the government and President Museveni are protecting corrupt leaders,” Gen Muntu said,
Mr James Kats Karyeija, the FDC chairman Kyenjojo District, asked the youth to use social media to promote FDC.
