100 Police Officers Shuffled

Uganda Police Force has transferred 109 officers in the Criminal Investigations and Intelligence directorate (CIID), Traffic department and General Duties.

Deputy Police Spokesperson Polly Namaye yesterday said the transfer of gazetted and non-gazetted officers was meant to ensure “better and effective service delivery to all members of the public”.

“The transfers and appointments, which were made on November 17 and 18, are normal and take immediate effect from the dates they were signed,” Namaye said.

The messages of transfer and appointment were authorised by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Okoth Ochola and AIGP Moses Balimwoyo, the director for human resource and administration.
